When I was younger I was quite active, always preferring to be outside riding my bike or running around playing. This then led me to be quite involved in sport from 9 years old when I started playing soccer. I also got into athletics at 12 years old and always liked to push myself with running or throwing events, which started to reveal my competitive edge and drive to succeed. At 15 I developed a passion for mountain biking because I loved pushing the limits and testing my speed down a track. I competed in triathlons, which allowed me to realise some of my limitations and had to work really hard at swimming because I wasn't great at it. This was an opportunity for me to learn how to be committed and dig deep. Once I joined the Army I came across CrossFit and that's when I truly thought - "I've found the ultimate training". I was never really great at any particular sport; I was good at most though and that seemed to align with the CrossFit methodology. I decided that this sport was for me and I started competing in local competitions and the CrossFit Open. After 4 years I finally made it to Regionals on a team and from there I qualified at several regional equivalent events before finally qualifying for the Torian Pro in 2021 which was an incredible goal.
Over the years I have developed a great passion for strength and fitness and analysing how the human body works; I wanted to learn all I could about the body’s capacity and ability when exercising. Whilst my goals were initially quite individual, in the process I now have a great desire to teach what I have learnt and I love helping people pursue (and push them towards) their goals, whether they be big or small.
